Time flies and we adjust

So the last time I wrote was in February. A month later we were looking at many sick people and lock down. All my in person vending events were canceled for very smart reasons. I’m here though and that’s awesome. Most of my loved ones are as well. I’m thankful for that.

Now we are coming up on a season of giving, caring, and introspection. We won’t be able to spend as much time together, but I’m in a better place for creativity. That has been sparked by a very successful virtual Gothic Arts Market. With such a good response for online shopping I’ve decided to try to update my shop once a month. My next update will be 12/9. I’ve also applied to some other avenues of showcasing my art. As that is confirmed I’ll be sure to announce it. I’m thinking, if I craft it they will come….er order. Some updates may be more abundant than others of course because life is unpredictable, but I’m excited to make my work more available.

Stay healthy and safe. <3

I’m the worst Blogger

It’s true. I constantly forget that this is a thing. I need to do this like every other week or something to look like a exist. I’ve never been good at consistently journaling or anything like that. I’m not much of a writer. I can definitely make stuff out of yarn though.

The New Year is here and we are almost on the third month. It’s really flying by and I don’t know how I feel about that. Next month I will be vending at CT Rollerderby’s Season Opener. Can’t wait. So many of my friends are rostered and have been working so hard to own that track. I can’t wait to see them skate hard and turn left.

For this event I’m currently finishing up a new design. I can’t post it till the inspirational friend receives her prototype in the mail. I’m trying hard to fill that table. So many ideas float in my head but not enough time to do it all. If I win the lottery I will crochet 24/7 for you guys.

Most of my commission slots are filling up for the year. Trying to be better at pacing myself so that I don’t go insane with vending prepping. Which brings me to shop vacation. With roller derby coming up I’ll be putting things on hold. It’s hard to make merch when made-to-order sales come in. Come see me at my table to snag what I’m currently making. <3

That’s it for now I guess. Maybe I’ll remember I have a blog before almost a year passes. Maybe…

Taking a breather

So I’ve been laying low for the holidays. So much work was done that I needed a break so I wouldn’t get burnt out. There were 6 poppets sold and gifted, 2 pairs of skull gloves, an octopus pin cushion and a set of poi. It was a fruitful season for me. I’m already making plans for the new year. It’s hard to not start now. I’m plotting 3 vending events for the year and lots of designs are popping in my head. You all make it so fun to create. Also plan to nurture my drop spindle skills. What are some of your 2019 plans?

Coraline, Wednesday, skull gloves, octopus pin cushion, mandrake root, Hel and poi.
